Ringdroid: Create Your Own Android Ringtone on Your Smartphone

Usually most people download ringtones from the internet and in most cases these ringtones are available for free. But sometimes you might not find a particular song or ringtone that you are looking for. It gets even more difficult to find a ringtone with only a snippet of your favorite song on the internet. The simplest way to create a ringtone of any music file is to download and install a good ringtone maker software from the internet and create your own ringtone. Most of the software available on the internet need Windows operating system to run and use processor and RAM in large amounts while creating the ringtone. After creating a ringtone, you need to connect your phone via Bluetooth or cable and transfer the newly created ringtone to your mobile phone. By now you must have understood that this is a long process and there has to be a better way of doing it.

To overcome all the above issues, you can use a nifty little app called Ringdroid to create ringtones directly on your Android smartphone. This is an original open source Android app which helps you to create and record ringtones on your smartphone. Users can create ringtones to use them as phone ringtones, alarm tones and notification tones as well. Ringdroid is completely open-source and free to download. It also does not support any type of ads so you can use it like a premium app.

How to Use Ringdroid?

Unlike other Windows software, Ringdroid is very easy to use. To create a ringtone, first of all, users have to select a song from the list which Ringdroid automatically loads on the editor as an audio stream. Once your favorite music file has been streamed onto Ringdroid, you can listen to the whole music file and set the start and end point of your ringtone. You can also set the ringtone time length as per your choice. Finally tap on the Save button to save the edited audio clip as your ringtone. While saving the ringtone, you will get an option to set the newly created ringtone as the default ringtone.

There is a Reset option available at the top of ringtone editor to start fresh and create another new ringtone for your Android smartphone. When you click on the Reset option, the slider will return to its original position and you can start creating a new ringtone.

Overall, Ringdroid is an easy to use and robust solution to create ringtones directly on your Android without installing a separate software specially for this purpose on Windows. If you want, you can share your ringtones with your friends via email.
