You know how when you are browsing the web and social sites you Like videos and images and just about anything you can? Do you ever really go back and look at those things? I know I don’t. The reason is, there isn’t an easy way to see it again. Unless you are using Persona that is.

Persona is a web-app with a downloadable shortcut for your New Tab Page. When you click on the shortcut, you will be taken over to the Persona page. If you are interested in curating all of your Likes and favorites in one spot, keep reading to see how it all works.

Getting started

Head over to the Chrome Web Store and look for Persona. The download and installation process takes a couple of clicks.

Once installed, you’ll see the shortcut on your New Tab Page. Click on the shortcut to be taken to the Persona page.

Using Persona

When you arrive at Persona, you will see a page something like this. The background image changes every time you refresh the page.

For ease of use, you can create an account by logging in with your Facebook account. This is what was done for this demo. Otherwise you can use an email and password.

More than likely you have used your Facebook account to login to other sites. If you don’t know the drill, you will be asked to sign in. You will see a window like this to let you know what Persona can access.

When an account is created, you will see your account dashboard.

Walk through the basic tutorial and add some other accounts like YouTube and Instagram. Or if you prefer, you can start looking through some of the stuff other people like.

When you are looking through the Likes and favorites from yourself or other people, the items are places in simple categories to make them easier to find later.

Clicking on a category will show the different Likes in a horizontally scrolling timeline. Clicking on an item will expand it. Depending on the item, you can play the video right there or be taken to the original page where you or they favorited the item.

Now all you need to do is start liking and favoriting things on the web. As you do, they will start to show up in your Timeline.

Final words

You have gone through the web finding all of these really cool pages with images or videos or other stuff and you showed your support u endorsing it with your Like. Going back and looking at these things later is like a window into your past moods and personality at different times. It’s fun to go back now and again to see how your interests change.
